Universal prevention strategies target individuals due to potentially problematic behaviors and/or related risk factors that place the individual at an elevated risk for substance use and misuse. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or relevant experience. Must be willing to complete all training requirements in the areas of Substance Abuse Prevention. Ability to read and understand program requirements. Special Knowledge/Skills: Excellent public speaking skills and ability to create engaging presentations. Effective organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use a personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and data entry, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must have reliable transportation and have a valid driver’s license. Experience: One to three years experience preferred in the areas of counseling, social work, and/or substance abuse prevention serving youth, adults, and/or families.
